ADDITIONAL PROVISION
I. PRINCIPLES
FIRST
This regulation governs the behavior and coexistence of members, as well as any other person who uses or remains in the facilities of Barcelona Golf Club, both in terms of participation in sports or other activities and for the protection and maintenance of the facilities, in accordance with applicable rules. Users must also comply with official rules issued by the respective National Federations.
For the purposes of this document, the term “member” also includes other types of subscribers with regard to facility use.
SECOND
Decisions and agreements by the governing bodies of Barcelona Golf Club, as well as instructions from staff responsible for assistance, service, and supervision, must be respected and followed in all facilities and areas.
THIRD
Unless explicitly notified, any minor member is authorized by their parents or legal guardians to use the Club’s facilities and participate in permitted activities, subject only to specific regulations applicable to each activity.
FOURTH
Members are liable for any damage caused to the Club’s facilities as a result of their behavior, in addition to any disciplinary measures that may apply.
FIFTH
Legal guardians are responsible for the actions of minors, whether members or not, and for any damages caused by them.
II. GENERAL RULES
First – Information for members
Notice boards will be placed in transit areas to display relevant Club information. The same information will also be published on the Club website, via newsletters, and circulars, in compliance with current data protection laws.
Second – Opening and closing of facilities
Opening and closing times of the Club and its facilities will be communicated via the above channels and will always be available in writing at the Club office.
Third – Users of the facilities
All users, whether members or not, must pay applicable fees for access to the Club or specific facilities, subject to availability. Members must pay their dues within 10 days of invoice issuance to access facilities.
Fourth – Reservation of the right of admission
In accordance with the law on Public Shows and Recreational Activities of Catalonia, the Club reserves the right of admission in cases of:
Facility overcrowding
Bringing dangerous objects or animals
Wearing clothing or symbols that incite disorder, violence, racism, or xenophobia
Violent or disruptive behavior
Active disciplinary suspension
History of similar behavior
Fifth – Obligation of members to update their information
Members must keep personal and banking information up to date and notify the Club in advance of any changes.
Sixth – Security
Members should immediately report any suspicious people, objects, or situations to Club staff or security.
Seventh – Etiquette and dress code
Proper attire and footwear appropriate to the activity and location are mandatory.
Eighth – Changing rooms
The Club provides changing rooms but is not responsible for lost items.
Ninth – Complaints
Members and users may file complaints using official forms; anonymous complaints will not be processed.
Tenth – Non-member users
Non-members must comply with Club rules and pay applicable fees.
Eleventh – Smoking
Smoking is allowed only in designated open areas, in accordance with law.
Twelfth – Correspondence with other Clubs
The Club may establish reciprocity agreements with other Clubs. Members will be informed of these agreements, and necessary documentation will be available at the reception.
Thirteenth – Competitions and tournaments
All participants must comply with rules established by the Club, competition committee, or relevant federation. Sponsorship use will follow agreements with the Club management.
Fourteenth – Sports instructors
Instructors are not Club employees. They must be authorized, and their services contracted directly by members.
Fifteenth – Members’ lounge/TV
Access is exclusive to adult members.
III. GOLF FACILITIES
First – Federation license
All players must hold a valid license from the Spanish Golf Federation.
Second – Handicap
Handicap allocation follows Spanish Golf Federation rules. Internal requirements will be set by the competition committee.
Third – Tee time reservations for members
The reservation system is mandatory and follows current regulations.
Fourth – Play
Players must check in and pay fees as per the reservation system. No group may exceed four players. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
Fifth – Dress code
Proper golf attire is required. Prohibited: denim, tights, very short shorts, swimsuits, tracksuits, T-shirts without sleeves (except women), or inappropriate clothing. Shorts and bermudas are allowed. Shoes must be appropriate for golf; metal spikes only when permitted.
Sixth – Pace of play, courtesy, and priority
Players must maintain pace. Marshall instructions must be followed. Four-player groups have priority over three-player groups, etc. Official match-play rules apply.
Seventh – No-shows
Non-attendance must be reported according to reservation system rules. Penalties apply.
Eighth – Tournament registration
The Golf Competition Committee sets tournament registration rules.
Ninth – Waiting list for competitions
A waiting list will operate if any player does not show up. Repeated no-shows may result in penalties.
Tenth – Control of play reservations
Club staff manages reservations, registrations, fees, tickets, and results.
Eleventh – Security
Players must follow instructions during electrical storms or other hazards.
Twelfth – Course cleanliness
Players must keep the course clean and use trash bins.
Thirteenth – Course maintenance
Players must repair divots, bunkers, and follow etiquette. Marshalls oversee compliance.
Fourteenth – Practice range
Balls may be hit only from designated areas. Only practice balls may be used; specific zones are reserved for the BGA golf academy and instructors.
Fifteenth – Traffic rules for cars, motorcycles, and golf carts
Traffic must follow designated paths. Maximum two people per vehicle, two bags, minimum driver age 16. Restrictions apply on tees and sensitive areas.
Sixteenth – Golf bag room
Access is limited to authorized personnel and registered members. Users must connect/disconnect their own electric carts.
Seventeenth – Golf course evacuation protocol
Electrical storm: immediate suspension
Fog: normal suspension
Frost: temporary delay
Audible signals indicate action (see original for details)
Evacuation points are specified per course and hole
IV. PÁDEL FACILITIES
First – Facilities
Pádel courts are available for members.
Second – Sports federation
Rules follow the Spanish Pádel Federation.
Third – Conduct rules
Players must behave appropriately. Staff may expel violators.
Fourth – Dress code
Proper attire is required. No swimsuits, street clothing, or inappropriate footwear.
Fifth – Hours of operation
Courts open according to Club publications.
Sixth – Competitions
Competitions are announced in advance; valid federation license required.
Seventh – Court reservations
Reservations may be made by phone or approved methods. All player names must be provided.
V. GYM
Available for members.
Proper attire required; indecorous clothing prohibited.
Correct behavior mandatory.
Staff may expel violators.
Usage time may be regulated.
Equipment must be used properly; users are liable for damages.
Instructors may be provided; gym use during classes restricted.
Only users over 18 may use the gym; minors must be accompanied.
VI. SWIMMING POOL
Outdoor pool available.
Opening/closing dates, hours, and fees will be communicated annually.
Pool use outside season requires management approval.
Seasonal fees published annually.
No animals, bicycles, skates, or dangerous objects allowed.
Radios only with headphones.
Changing rooms mandatory; age limits for opposite-sex access.
Only swimsuits or full bikinis allowed.
Showering before entering pool mandatory.
Dangerous objects prohibited.
Towels not allowed in pool area.
Eating only in designated areas; trash properly disposed.
Club not responsible for lost personal items.
Users must follow lifeguard instructions.
Disruptive behavior results in immediate expulsion and disciplinary report.
VII. DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURE
Section One – Principles and procedure
Disciplinary powers defined in this Regulation. Conduct classified as minor, serious, or very serious; procedures outlined.
Procedure follows Catalonia sports disciplinary code.
Principles of defense, hearing, evidence, and penalty scaling apply.
Committee of Discipline appointed for handling cases. Procedures for notification, evidence, and decision-making specified.
Sanctions may be appealed within five days.
Section Two – Infractions
Minor: inappropriate attire, failure to follow instructions, late payments, disrespect.
Serious: repeated minor offenses, significant damage, or breaches of rules.
Very serious: repeated serious offenses, non-payment, damage, abuse, disobedience, refusal to prove membership, non-compliance with sanctions.
Section Three – Sanctions
Minor: written warning or suspension up to 2 months.
Serious: suspension 2–6 months.
Very serious: suspension 6–12 months.
Damages must be paid in all cases.
Section Four – Statute of limitations
Minor: 3 months
Serious: 6 months
Very serious: 1 year
Limitations interrupted when disciplinary procedure begins. Sanctions expire 6 months, 1 year, or 2 years, depending on severity.
