Masía Bach (18 holes)

The Masia course, the first design by José Mª Olazábal, features 18 holes, a par of 72, and a length of 6,271 meters. It’s an attractive and demanding course, especially appreciated by low-handicap golfers and professionals. It has hosted international tournaments such as the 2007 Catalonia Ladies Masters (Ladies European Tour) and the Peugeot National Tour.

The Executive course at Golf Club Barcelona, is a 9 hole par 31 with a distance of 1,780 metres. This course offers an easier day of golf compared to Masia Bach, however, it provides a good technical challenge to golfers of all handicaps.

Executive (9 holes)

Driving range.

DRIVING RANGE

The Driving Range is quite wide, allowing plenty of space for many players. It features an open area for practicing from the grass and a covered area with practice mats, two of which include mirrors that let you check your stance, top of the backswing, finish, and more. The range is very long, making it possible to practice with all clubs, including the driver; it’s also wide enough to work on shaping your shots. Distance markers are placed at 50, 100, 150, and 200 meters, along with various target flags. The driving range closes for maintenance from Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. until Thursday at around 9:30 a.m.

PUTTING GREEN

The main putting green is located next to the Clubhouse, on the way to the 1st tee. In addition, there is another green at the Driving Range where players can practice both putting and chip-and-run shots onto the green.

 APPROACH ZONE

The approach area features a small green protected by two bunkers. It allows players to practice short game shots from the grass and from various distances. It’s also ideal for practicing uphill and downhill lies.

CHIPPING GREEN

The chipping green is very well maintained, so it’s also used as a second putting green.

 BUNKER ZONE

Located to the left of the driving range is the bunker area, where players can practice both fairway bunkers and short- to mid-range bunker shots. In the approach area, there are also two additional bunkers for practicing short shots.

The 18-hole course features 28 fairway bunkers and 48 greenside bunkers, so it’s important to practice bunker play—chances are, you’ll end up in one.
